Sri Omananda Swamiji left his body on September 19th, 2011
(Maha Samadhi)

His successor is Swami Sivananda Saraswathi.
Swami Sivananda Saraswathi (Mahadev Sarma, his birth name) grew up in the Ashram in Bangalore, he was given Sanyasa and his Sanyasa (Deeksha Name) name is Sivananda Saraswathi.

Swami Omanandaji was a disciple of Swami Sivananda and Swami Chidananda, Sri Omananda Swamiji lived in Rishikesh for 12 years working in the Sivananda Charitable Hospital taking care of lepers who had no one to take care of them

His compassion to the suffering of the unfortunate victims was very moving.He cleaned and treated their wounds bringing faith in the lord in his gentle touch.

Swamiji delivers discourses on scripture in various languages such as Sanskrit, Hindi, Tamil, English, Kannada, Telegu, Bengali and Oriya.

Swamiji is a Classical Carnatak Musician who is well versed in Veena and is blessed with a very melodious voice. He is a master of South Indian Music.
